David McCormick
When he was growing up, David recalls competing in the same league against 3 former Premier League players up until under 13s. Inspired by this, and a drive to excel, he moved on gaining solid qualifications, experience and expertise as he carved out his career building over 20 years of teaching and coaching experience in a wide number of sports; including football, basketball, tennis and athletics. He continuously keeps his coaching relevant, fresh and up to date.
A true role model; he thrives on creating positive learning environments for girls and boys to be challenged and reach their potential. For David, there is much to be learned in the ‘never give up attitude’ that he strives to foster in young players – he cites the example of Ian Wright, who arrived in the Premier League from the non-league football. ‘Keep pushing forward’ has to be the mantra for players.
He seeks to continue his coaching career with a commitment to develop and inspire the next generations of girls and boys on their journeys in sport.
